From June 9 to June 11, 2022, the Himdent Foundation organized a three-day dental camp at G.I.C. Mundhol, a picturesque yet remote village in the Chakrata block of Dehradun district. Nestled deep in the hills and requiring an 8-hour drive from Dehradun, reaching the village was no easy feat. Yet, the team’s commitment to delivering dental care to underserved communities kept them determined.
The camp kicked off with Dr. Aditya Vohra delivering an orientation lecture, educating children on the importance of preventive dental care. Over the course of three days, 40 students were examined, and the team performed 30 permanent fillings for 20 children.
Though the journey was tough, the camp’s success highlights the Himdent Foundation’s dedication to reaching children in even the most isolated areas. In places like Mundhol, access to dental care is scarce, making these camps a lifeline for the community. By overcoming the challenges of remote locations, Himdent ensures that no child is left behind in the mission to promote better oral health.
